Alan Turing is one of the most well known historical figures in the field of computer science. He has written a few papers that have become instrumental in the field of modern computer science. An example of this is the Imitation Game, in which a computer pretends to be human; this is used as a basis for an AI.
There is a new movie coming out about Alan Turing, called “The Imitation Game”. In reality, the movie’s about his first machine called the bombe used to decode German messages. It follows Turing as he makes the machine, and shows some of the difficulties he encountered. It releases in November of this year.
