Conway’s Game of Life is an interesting concept, and it would be very cool to teach others about the concept behind it.
I hope to teach people about the origin of the idea and also the rules that the Game of Life adheres to in order to create the checkerboard of squares that are “alive” and “dead”.
I think this project could be interactive in multiple ways. The participant could not only make cells dead and alive, they could get more time to experiment with turning squares on and off if they sit through the short explanations on the origins. For each new rule that they find by experimenting, they learn more about the game.
This would fit into the Exploratorium since it’s very interactive and the concept is based off of interactions.

The interactivity and sandbox style is inspired by World Primer. Google also has an animation for the Game of Life here.
